Getting Started: Merge Video, Audio, and Subtitles
This guide walks you through a clean, first-time merge using AVMergePro. You will learn the minimum steps and the safest defaults.
What you need
- One video file (MP4 recommended)
- One audio file (M4A or AAC recommended)
- Optional subtitles (SRT or VTT)
Step 1: Add your files
Drag your files into the drop zones or click to browse. The video and audio files are required. Subtitles are optional.
Step 2: Choose safe settings
For a first merge, use these defaults:
- Output format: MP4
- Video codec: Copy (fastest, no re-encoding)
- Audio codec: Copy or AAC
Step 3: Merge and download
Click Merge Files, wait for the progress bar to complete, then download the output file.
Recommended checklist
- Use MP4 for best compatibility
- Keep files under 2 GB if possible
- Close heavy browser tabs for better performance
If something fails
- Try Copy mode first to avoid heavy re-encoding
- Use smaller files for a quick test
- Check the logs for any codec errors
